Change is inevitable – except from a vending machine
-   Robert C. Gallagher

Change is inevitable but not always permanent, things do return.

Like the fading heat of the sun at the end of summer, we know some things will return again.

Your fashionista Ellen will be returning after an expedition to the snapped cold Taupo.

But while she is away, me, her older sister Tara
(previously mentioned as the owner of some items you have already seen)
will be around to fill in the void.

You may not enjoy what I have to say, that’s fine,
come back to see Ellen next week.

Here are a couple of beautiful photos she left to tide you over in the mean time...

Otherwise tune in for my thoughts and clothing ensembles
created and shaped with the intention of making my day a little brighter.

Today was a day on the more casual side. with a decision to bring out a t-shirt
(something I have far too many of and rarely wear)
but injected with a touch of glamour.

There’s something special about adding a sparkly necklace and heels to jeans and a t-shirt
that make it seem far less informal and little more fun.

Nail polish is another one of my weaknesses.

Butter is an amazing brand I have just recently discovered.
I have been incredibly impressed by the quality, texture and colours.

The single bottle is quickly blooming into a collection

Jacket – Burda pattern (made by me)
t-shirt – by Chloe Masters for the Friends of the Auckland Art Gallery 2009 exhibition
Necklace – Kookai
Nailpolish – Thames by Butter
Watch – Lego black chronograph from asos
Shoes – Theta boot from No. 1 shoes

What do you think?

Any suggestions for the forthcoming days?

For now, signing off…

Tara

  1. Both of you look gorgeous. I wonder where Ellen bought that red sweater from, it looks amazingly warm and I'd love something similar to wear during this cold weather.

That necklace from Kookai is soooo stunning. And I can't believe you made your jacket, It makes me want to take up sewing (if only i wasn't so afraid of that needle.

Keep the posts coming :) (both of you please!)
