Fashion Robot...

"I think there is beauty in everything. What 'normal' people would perceive as ugly, i can usually see something of beauty in it"
-Alexander Mcqueen

I wanted to dress a little quirky today but still be comfy. I wasn't going anywhere special, so these pictures were just in my house.

I heart my little robot necklace...

So just a little post today,
What do you think?

Unwritten Story...

"If loving fashion is a crime, we plead guilty"

When i post an outfit on Shop Style Conquer, i want it to have a mysterious feel to it.
I want the photos to tell a story.
I want the outfit to be an open book with only photos, and a space for you to write the unwritten.
I want you to create an adventure and become lost in the post...

So what do you think when you see these photos? Is there a story that comes to mind?
Do you see a little girl lost in the park? Or perhaps someone hiding from the evil in the world?
You decide the story that these photos tell you and share it in a comment.

Time for atrophy of the fabric pile...

Every act of creation is first an act of destruction
- Pablo Picasso

Earlier this year I went a bit mad buying up fabric.
There was always a project in mind,
and I planned to have time to make these,
but somehow that didn't work out.

I now find myself at the start of my holidays finally making another start at shrinking the pile.

Today was the start of a new item...

Hopefully it will be finished it in the next few days for revealing :)

I work a stripy red shirt, high waisted pants (from last holidays sewing)
and my new glasses I picked up at a red cross store.

They seemed like fun, and the tortoise shell look frames made them irresistable.

Can you guess what my latest project might be?

Whipped up in a flash...

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.
-Emma Goldman

The roses in our garden were looking particularly stunning today.
Blooming in a captivating bright red.
Perfect for some photos.

You know those girls that look like they've woken up and chucked on the first thing they find and somehow it works so well?

I've always felt envy towards the girls that can manage that, especially since it takes my brain a while to warm up in the mornings.

I was running around getting ready to go out this morning
and I grabbed the first things my eyes came to.
For once it all seemed to work.

I was ready a few minutes early and Ellen said she wanted
to take some photos of my outfit for a post.

So we went outside in the beautiful sunshine for a few quick pics.

It also meant I got to wear my new sunnies that I found
at a Red Cross store on the weekend.

Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to fall into place.
It's not always fashion related, but they are always nice :)

Hope your week is going well <3

The woman in red..

"Blue flower, red thorns! Blue flower, red thorns! Oh, this would be so much easier if i wasn't colourblind
- Donkey (From Shrek the movie)

If there is anyone out there who has been reading our blog for awhile, they might recognize this skirt.

This is the third time i have done a post wearing it tehe!

It used to be my mums but is has now made a home in my wardrobe.

I love the statement it makes and I'm always trying to pair it with new things.

So i tried it with a belt and my Minnie Mouse jumper for something different.

Jumper and skirt : both vintage

Belt : My sisters wardrobe ( But originally from Valley Girl)

Ring : Diva

Shoes : Warehouse

Do you guys have a piece of clothing you heart the most?

Spring flowers

If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower
in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom.
-Terri Guillemets

I've always really enjoyed the part of spring where new
bright green buds burst forwards on trees giving them a lime halo.

All the flowers and new growth is always refreshing after the sparseness of winter.

~

So in honour of the new petals opening all around me,
I got out my floral dress again.

a leather jacket to toughen it up a bit...

and some sandals since the weather is a bit warmer to finish it off.

BUTTER of the week:

this week I'm wearing HRH

It's a bright purple that looks amazing no matter what light you are in.
With iridescent blues underneath it is really quite stunning in direct light.

~

What things do you look forwards to in the changing seasons?

To shop or not to shop is the question...

"Women usually love what they buy, yet they hate two-thirds of what is in their closets
- Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960

I'm torn between feeling excited for all the new things i have bought in the past few weeks and hating myself for spending almost all my money.

I thought i might as well share with you guys what i have bought and you can decide if it was worth the money tehe!

A sheer top or skirt has been on my shopping list for awhile now.
These photos are just some gorgeous sheer items that i totally love and inspired me to buy something sheer.

I ended up buying this sheer blouse from Valley Girl.
I liked this different kind of colour. It was also the perfect length and style for me.

This will definitely be featured in many posts to come ;)

I have always been a fan of lace. It can be used for so many different things and worked for so many different styles.

These photos are just a little lace inspiration. I particularly love all the lace shirts and those lace shoes!

This is just a sneak peak of a lace item i bought for $8 from an op shop.

Stay tuned for more posts to see what it is...

These hot pink shoes were on sale at wild pair. They brighten up my day and i totally adore them!

I bought them a couple of weeks ago and have already worn them tons!

Some of you might recognize these red shoes from my last post, i bought them about a week ago and although they have already been posted, i still wanted to show you guys this picture :)

So what do you think?
What have you been buying this month?
