Video: Wardrobe Makeover and Mini Closet Tour

"I like my money where I can see it - hanging in my closet."
- Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

Part of loving fashion is owning (probably too many) clothes and needing somewhere to put them. Having a functional and pretty wardrobe is not something all houses have, so Ellen decided earlier this year that it was time to renovate hers and bring it towards her Carrie Bradshaw like dreams. Thanks to the combined efforts a family of kiwi DIYers (mainly Dad and Mum, thanks guys!) this is the result. Not only can she now reach everything in it (no more black hole zone in the middle of the sliding doors!) it looks great and nothings getting squashed anymore. We made a little video about some of the process and it might give you a few ideas if your wardrobe is in need over a makeover!

Hope you enjoy the video, thanks to everyone that has subscribed to our channel! We've nearly reached 250 subscribers, which may seem small to some, but it's a real milestone for us woo!

  1. Love what you did to the wardrobe! My old one used to have those sliding doors, hate them!

  2. Congrats on your huge closet! When I moved into my brother's room about 7 years ago, I had this huge issue with my closet. The door into my room and the door into my closet would always bump into each other so I made my dad take it down for me. Thankfully, it's a nice walk-in closet for my huge collection of clothes!:)

  5. What an awesome birthday present! I opted for a new camera lens on my 18th birthday rather than a huge party. I really, really wish that I could have a huge closet - the joys of renting! Mines just a teensy tiny little garment rack which is not sufficient!

  8. Yah looks amazing!! We made over our wardrobe a year or so ago - It is a small walk in wardrobe but the space wasn't used well at all. So we bought a kit from Mitre 10 Mega. Made SUCH a difference. Except it's totally messy and out of control at the moment. But seeing your video has made me think I MUST clean it out and make it nice and pretty again x
