Melbourne Photo Diary

Melbourne, you are one photogenic city. On a recent weekend trip to visit Tara, I carried my camera with me 24/7. As well creating a vlog of our adventure (watch it below!), I also took a bunch of photos. So for this weeks post I thought I would share a few of my favourites...

How to curl straight & thin hair

Getting big bouncy waves when you've got straight limp hair can be a real hassle. I've spent many years trying to master it and you'll have to forgive me for my boasting but I think I've finally cracked it.

My first tip would be to pin your curls to your head and let them cool down. Yes it's time consuming but trust me it's worth the wait. If you let hot curls go, they will fall out a lot faster compared to if you keep them curled and pinned till they cool.

Of course the next important element is having the right tools. I've tried numerous wands and tongs but the ghd soft curl tong is my new best friend. If you've got long thin hair like me then the fat wide barrel is a must.

Finally I would say never brush your curls out with a hairbrush if your hair is thin. Just tossle them with your fingers and throw your head back and forth a bit before locking it in with some hair spray.

A few weeks ago I filmed this Glam date night get ready with me video featuring my new 'do if you want to see the whole process in action!
