New bright lipstick find: Australis velour lips

Though makeup tends to come under the category of beauty not fashion, in our heads they overlap, and are 

all part of style and creation of the overall outfit. Lipstick in particular is that one beauty product that can

 transform a look and change the entire vibe. It can elevate it to glam, cool, or fun and that's the basis behind 

our love for bright lipstick!

When Ellen's November issue of Girlfriend magazine arrived in the post with a tube of Australis Velour Lips 

attached we were interested and immediately gave it a try. It was like a more fluid version of my MAC 

prolongwear 'dear diary' (so very bright and matte). We were in love and looking up what other colours were

 available. Unfortunately we still haven't been able to find them in NZ stores yet, so I bought two more GF 

magazines just to get the orange and purple for myself haha!

The orange wasn't as intense as the other two (with a slightly more pastel tone vs my MAC 'neon orange'), 

while the purple is very intense, as in Batman cartoon villain intense (which I kinda love about it). 

We've found the best way to apply them is with two thin coats (letting the first dry between) and then they

 last almost all day through drinking, eating, and wind attacks!

We are curious as to when these will be released here (the excitement may have disappeared by the time 

they are). It seems kind of strange that there would be freebies with the magazine but still no signs of them a 

month later. For now we will just enjoy the colours we did mange to get, and recommend you try them out if you 

spot them in store!
