What I Wore to a Kitchen Tea

“True friends are like diamonds – bright, beautiful, valuable, and always in style.” ― Nicole Richie

Before my friend's wedding madness last weekend (bridesmaid dresses, vows, and speeches oh my) I went to the kitchen tea put on by her family. I decided to get out my most floral & ladylike dress for the occasion. It ended up matching the china so it was close to perfect I guess haha. Her Aunties and cousins had made all these cute little sweet treats and pastries which I of course tried all of and ended up eating too much oops.

We also played a game that was kind of blindfolded "guess the kitchen utensil" which I ended up winning even though I did warn them that working part-time in a kitchen store would give me an unfair advantage!

dress - Valley Girl

boots - Garage (The Warehouse)

sunglasses - molly N

unicorn bag c/o Choies

jacket - Just Jeans

So if you are ever stuck with what to a kitchen tea or any kind of modern day tea party, this is a simple outfit anyone can put together. I added a creme leather jacket and fun unicorn clutch to give the outfit a little more edge, but I love how it turned out and I had such an amazing time!
