Pallet Laptop Desk DIY

Today I'm sharing how I made my pallet laptop tray for using my laptop in bed. I got this idea while I was on the hunt for laptop trays and saw one of taramilkteas instagram posts. I made mine without a centre bar and little higher so my legs could fit under but I still love how it turned out!

Materials I used:

  • a length of 180mm x 2m pine cut into 2x: 20cm x 40cm & 4x: 9cm x 47cm
  • 16x galvanised wood screws 10g x 60mm
  • 4x L brackets
  • 8x screws 12mm

Tools used:

  • Makita circular saw
  • Makita cordless drill
  • rachet screw driver
  • 2x saw horses
  • Irwin quick-grip clamps

The materials only cost me 12$NZD if you use some recycled or leftover wood, or about 40$NZD if you buy new wood from the hardware store. You can also get your wood cut at the hardware store if you don't have a saw available.

We hope you enjoy the video, remember to tag us in a photo if you try it out for yourself!
